NFL Week 9: Its Hockey Season in Washington

Atlanta(-6.5) at Indy
Two weeks ago Jim Caldwell walked off the field by himself following a 62-7 dismantling at the hands of the Saints. Jeff Saturday looked lost and disinterested the same night, making the same walk Caldwell did. And between the talk surrounding whether or not the Colts will draft Andrew Luck if they get the chance, and how both Peyton Manning and Jim Irsay respond when that question is brought up, does anyone in the organization give a shit about THIS season? No, they don't.

Mike Smith and the Falcons are an impressive 7-1 ATS in their last 8 versus a team with a losing record. The Falcons will continue getting to or at least around, the position they were predicted to be in prior to the start of the season. No problems here for Matty Ice and crew. Falcons

Seattle(+11) at Dallas
Doesn't the betting public know that the Seahawks are NFC East road killers? Well, they've actually only played one NFC East team this year, and it was on the road, and they did get it done. Nonetheless, thats the angle I'm taking here.

Coming off a national televised ass thumping, the Cowboys have lost 3 out of 4 and continue to uninspire. Kind of like the Redskins. This is a game in which Dallas lets Seattle hang around just long enough to piss you off late if you're "down" on the Boys. Seahawks

Cincy(+1.5) at Tennessee
We were wondering(and concerned as to) why the Bengals were getting 3-3.5 points here, until we woke up this morning and see that the Vegas smart money has finally started rolling in on the striped ones. The Bengals have won 4 straight and boast the league's #2 ranked defense. They're also protecting their rookie QB pretty well, allowing the 3rd lowest amount of sacks(11) in the league. The addition of Cedric Benson this week won't hurt either.

The Titans are coming off a win against the winless before mentioned Colts, but were manhandled in consecutive weeks before that, against the Texans and Steelers, both of whom, like the Bengals, have Top 10 defenses.

We're buying into the Bengals. They have a good O-line, great defense, solid run game with Benson, and with protection, the rookie Dalton is effective. We got down on them last week in Vegas at 18/1 to win the AFC, and we're getting down on them today. Bengals

Last Week 1-1-1 ATS
YTD 15-10-3 ATS
